Episode 1: On the first episode of Behind the Business, co-hosts Marc Machado and Aidan McKernan are joined by Emma Custis, who - in addition to her role as a Program Associate in the School of Business - is a runner and avid Taylor Swift fan. Emma reflects on her time at the University of Central Florida, her pivot into business and her experience at GW thus far.
Episode 2: On the second episode of Behind the Business, co-hosts Marc Machado and Aidan McKernan are joined by Kathleen Duffy, the Senior Director of Career Development with the F. David Fowler Career Center. Kathleen talks about her 17 years in the airline industry, her experiences in Latin America and the origins of the Business Leader Development (BLD) Program.
Episode 3: On the third episode of Behind the Business, co-hosts Marc Machado and Aidan McKernan are joined by Meredith Geisler, Assistant Professor of Sport Management at GW. Meredith opens up about her time as a student athlete, her vast PR experiences and her decision to start a company, while sharing tips for building and maintaining relationships.
Episode 4: On the fourth episode of Behind the Business, co-hosts Marc Machado and Aidan McKernan are joined by Abby Hackman, a junior studying International Business and Finance. In addition to serving as the podcast's Social Media Manager, Abby works as a BLD Program Mentor and Fowler Coordinator. She, Marc and Aidan discuss their experiences in such roles and reflect on their time at GW, while answering listener questions.
